One of the best days of my life was definitely my wedding day…hands down!!
My Wife Courtney and I got hitched on a gorgeous spring day with our closest family and friends back on the 1st of November 2014.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day and we look back on our wedding images often, reminiscing with the crazy stories from the day.
After the wedding we took off for a 2 month road trip around the America to celebrate and see this action packed country.
It’s not the places so much that stick with us, it’s the experiences we shared.
New Years Eve in New York, Jack White playing in Austin, karaoke on my birthday in a Mississippi bar, Lakers vs Bulls in LA, a private gig with VANCE JOY and spending Christmas with a family in Washington we’d met at a NFL game. The Americans really look after you and love us Aussies!
While seeing the sites, eating huge meals and tasting loads of craft beer we would wrap up each day by creating a page or two in our much loved travel journal. We collected beer labels, stickers, concert tickets and photographed our adventure with my Fuji polaroid camera to help keep the memories of our trip clear as crystal and to be able to give some good tips to anyone heading over on their own trip.
I’m so stoked we this put this together on the road, it’s hard to remember everything you do and when life gets in the way… projects like this sometimes get put to the side.
Touchdown in downtown LA, Mustang it out to the the Santa Monica Pier for beer!
Cheeky stop off into Fire Stone Walker Brewery, just make the boat in time for night tour of Alcatraz in San Fran

Back to LA for double overtime with the Lakers vs Bulls, LA with the win!
Our last day was epic. We heard on the radio while driving through Hollywood that Vance Joy was playing an exclusive gig.
Next minute, I’m coaching Courtney on how to get tickets to the show. Talking to the radio DJ on air, he gave us to VIP passes to be his guests!!
After the gig we had near miss with the LAPD who made me “walk the line” to prove I was sober!!
There’s so much more I haven’t mentioned so take a peek to see more of what we got up to
If you’ve ever been over to the USA, I hope this might even make you smile thinking back to your own trip.
I know we will for years to come!!
